How to send using eFax

All of our eFax accounts are tied to shared mailboxes. In order to send using eFax, you need to be a member of that shared mailbox.

If you only have a hard copy of a document, use the scan-to-email feature on any scanner/printer, and send the document to your email address, then follow the following four steps:

  1. Create a new email message.

  2. In the "From:" field, select the shared mailbox that has the eFax account tied to it. For example [email protected] (you will only see this option if you're a member of the eFax shared mailbox).

  3. In the "To:" field, enter the recipient's fax number followed by @efaxsend.com.
    1. For example:
      • To send to the U.S. fax number +1 323 555 1234, enter [email protected] where 1 equals the country code; 323 is the area code; and 5551234 is the fax number.
      • When sending a fax to an international number, use the complete destination fax number, including the country code, city code, and local number. For example, to send to the UK number +44 (0)20 7555-1234, type [email protected], where 44 equals the country code; 207 is the area code; and 5551234 is the fax number.

  4. Attach the file(s) (10 maximum) you would like to send as a fax. To include a cover page, type the text in the body of the email message. (The body works as your cover page.) Or you can choose from a selection of cover page templates.

  5. Click Send
